NFC East games are tough battles almost every time. McNabb is gonna take the brunt of this, though. He's a good soup salesman these days, but he needs a new job.
They look horrible out there, Lester. And, while you are right in that they will pass a lot, unless they can get the movement they need with Kevin Curtis to get him clean off the line and into the backfield untouched - and that is a stretch with Reid's coaching as of the past couple years - all those passes are going to be directed towards Westbrook. Trouble is, the 'Skins know this. Last time they played, he had eight receptions for just 66 yards. The Cowboys played him the same way last week. It kills the Philly offense, and McNabb's skills have gone to pot so bad that he can no longer compensate for it. The 'Skins will jam the receivers, slow down Westbrook and force turnovers and that will win them this game. I really feel bad for McNabb and Steve McNair: two former greats who now just look silly out there in this league. And that hurts, cuz I am no 'Skins fan.
When you're playing as poorly as they've been playing, it's bound to come together one week soon. The Eagles have a solid defense, and that alone should pressure the Skins enough to give the Gulls a few solid chances. McNabb should play alright, and the Skins have some injuries at corner... Look for Philly to pass a lot, and get the ball in to Westy's hands as much as possible.
Ruth, us ladies gotta stick together in this man's world;-) Speaking of men, are there any left on the Eagles? They gotta bench McNabb. Not that it will help, but it can't hurt.
