i wish i had the balls to call the upset...st louis has the potential...i just dont have enough faith to go out on a limb for the rams...it will be a close one though
It does seem, LL, that the rams should be due for a win, and the Saints for a letdown, but for my money, I gots to go with recent history, which strongly suggests that the Lambs are gonna get their chops handed to them in a rare fashion. I have not seen anything out of the Rams that makes me thing they could beat anyone but the Dolphins and probably the Niners, but only because the Niners can't score. NO has the crowd on their side, and you can only imagine how crazy loud it is going to be after the excitment of a four-game win streak after that awful start.
And I think they actually have a decent chance. At +550, or what ever it is right now, I like that bet for St. Louis. Like I said with the Dolphins, every team has to win a few games, no matter how bad they are. Well, the Rams sure have played poorly, found lots of ways to lose lots of games, but they are still a talented team. Marc Bulger played much better against the Browns, and if Steven Jackson (also back in action this week) wouldn't have been injured in the 1st quarter, I think the Rams would have beaten a pretty decent Browns team two weeks ago. COming off a bye. Playing an overrated Saints team. Rams defense is solid against the run. I like my chances for an upset here, even if 95% of the Fan Yard disagrees with me.
