Dallas had a tough week against New England. They have the weapons if they just use them !! Time to forget last week and see if they can stay alive for the rest of the season and they will have a chance to rematch.

I'm no Romosexual, but –

Just going on quarterbacks here, Romo is far better than Jackson is yet. But you are right, Master, the Vikes could very well surprise if he has a stellar game. I don't think it'll happen.

Even though Dallas lost to NE (just about everyone else in NFL will) I think they just squeak this one out. But Minnesota also has some weapons. Should be a very interesting game.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS: Ranked 12th in offense and 25th in defense.

LAST MEETING: Minny won 35-17 at home in 2004.

TEAM STRENGTH: Adrian Peterson. The rookie has taken the Vikings rushing attack to new levels not seen since Robert Smith retired at the top of his game after the 2000 season. He is not, however, the only part of the Vikings run game that is very good, as their run defense ranks second in the NFL. With a 2-3 record, yet at plus eleven in net points, the Vikings can stop the run and establish the run. If they can better their passing attack even a little bit, they could surprise a lot of people.

TEAM WEAKNESS: Exactly the opposite of their team strength, quarterback Tavaris Jackson ranks 48th among QBs who have played in the NFL this season, by QB rating. Vikings receivers have caught just 43 passes in their five games, but with Dallas CB Anthony Henry looking like he will not play and The Cowboys being ranked just 24th overall against the pass, this could turn into a very interesting game.

NEEDS TO WIN: Wade Philips has said that he tried too hard to stop the Patriots running game last week, and allowed Tom Brady to beat him. That just shows why Philips will never be known for long periods as a good coach. He is going to do the same thing against the Vikings, but that may not be good enough against Peterson. If Peterson can get going and make the ‘Boys play honest D, Jackson, who is a starter in the NFL for a reason, will get his chance to show why he belongs. If he can take advantage, the Vikes could pull off an upset.

DALLAS (5-1): Sure they lost to the Patriots last weekend but can you blame them? QB Tony Romo is saying his shoulder’s fine despite getting it banged up in last week’s loss. It was his non-throwing shoulder anyway so whatever. As for the rest of the team, this one should be easy but not a given. It's not like the Vikings are going to roll over and let the Cowboys have their way with them, you know what I mean? To win they've got to stop the run and force the Vikings to pass. The Vikings have the 28th-ranked pass offense in the league. More impressive, however, is that Dallas is the only team in football to have three different players with at least four touchdown receptions each in 2007 (Owens-4, Witten-4 and Crayton-4).

This could be a trap game for Cowboys. A.D."All Day" Peterson is the real deal. The key to Dallas having a good afternoon is how well Roy Williams S plays. He will have to be in the box all day, with one assignment; Stop A.D. or at least don't give him any game breakers. The Vikings can not pass the ball; put them in passing situations and the Dallas D will embarass them. On the other side of the ball..... Romo should have a field day picking apart the Minnesota secondary. The secondary with 10,000 holes...

Dallas takes my Vikes a little too lightly, regardless of viewing last weeks film.

Close game, again...  –

The Vikings probably won't win, but this will be within a touchdown.. A good running game and a nice defense, I'll take the Vikes with the 10 point spread, but the Cowboys to win by a field goal or two.

........SPECTATOR: TONY ROMO..... –

I hope Romo made use of his looong sideline hiatus watching real NFL QB in Tom Brady hold school on the sieve-like Dallas secondary....Brady drilled 5 tds and a 6th was called back on a wimpy officials call...Minnesota is no slouch either for the 'Boys Sunday....Yeeee-Haaaaw!!
