The Lions have the better offence. The Bucks are capable of playing tough ball. This game could go either way. I am going to stick with the slightly favored team.

DETROIT LIONS (3-2): Detroit is ranked 30th in passing defense, allowing an average of 263 passing yards per game. The Lions and the Bucs have played only once since 2002, but for both teams it was one for the record books. The Lions lost, 17-13, after a touchdown by tight end Marcus Pollard was overturned in the final seconds. Talk about a close call. I think that for the Lions this week's game will be somewhat of a challenge as they first have to get their offense back on track. Detroit has not scored a touchdown in nine of their last 10 quarters and if they want to give the home crowd something to cheer about they'll have to do a better job of protecting QB Jon Kitna. Fortunately for the Lions their strength is their offense. They're a good passing team (but their running game could stand for some improvement). Also a plus -- coach Rod Marinelli said that RB Kevin Jones foot injury has healed and is good to go and ready to start Sunday for the first time this season vs. Bucs WLB Derrick Brooks. Interestingly enough, Marinelli joined the Lions after spending 10 seasons with Tampa Bay (1996-2005) as the Bucs defensive line coach (and assistant head coach title for the last four seasons).

Bucs have been showing some fine D lately, where the Lions have none. Without the run to set up the pass though, TB doesn't deliver.

Again Lester, I completely agree. Though I wish I could find a game that I didn't agree with you then I would spend more time writting a rebuttle.

No D in Detroit...  –

Don't be confused by the spelling of their name, or the "duh" sound at the beginning of their name, there is no D in Detroit. Is their offense? You betcha, but defense wins football games, and the Bucs have enough offense, and a decent enough defense to oust the Lions in Detroit.
