Remember the Bills played a close game against Dallas and should have pulled the upset off. Against the Ravens they have a better chance if they play that kind of game. This game will be close and could be a upset.
I drove all the way to Buffalo from Texas a few weeks ago to see that monday night game where my Cowboys made a comeback for the ages. But I tell you what those Bills fans are crazy, loud, and love their team and get them going. Thats Why Buffalo wins this game b/c their fans.
At this stage of McNair's career, Boller is probably a better option anyway. Edwards is looking OK, but not as great as the media hype machine want him to be. Three points against the Cowboys? C'mon.
BALTIMORE RAVENS: Ranked 19th in offense and 4th in defense.
LAST MEETING: Baltimore won 19-7 in at home last New Year’s Eve,
TEAM STRENGTH: The Ravens biggest strength is their run defense, which is allowing less than 67 yards per game so far, with just one rushing touchdown allowed. The fact that the Ravens rank as high as 14th in the NFL in passing offense either shows why some stat are meaningless, or that there is a severe lack of decent quarterbacks in the game today. I’ll let you figure out which it is.
TEAM WEAKNESS: For me, their weakness is a lack of explosiveness on any side of the ball, at any point in time, combined with a coach who sometimes seems to forget all about clocks and time outs and the little things that matter. In the home playoff game against the Colts last year, Brain Billick officially made me realize that he’ll never be the coach of my team.
NEEDS TO WIN: It really should not be too hard for the Ravens to win this one on the road. The Bills only put up three offensive points in their wild loss to the Cowboys, and the Ravens have a much better overall defense than Dallas, although their offense is, of course, much weaker. This all leads me to believe the score will be somewhat similar to the last game these two played, except maybe subtract the touchdown from Buffalo’s score and give them a field goal or two.
BUFFALO (1-4): The Ravens and Bills have gone head-to-head three times before with Baltimore edging out Buffalo in the series, 2-1. Oddly enough, this will be the first time these two teams have played in Buffalo, so maybe the Bills can even the series with a much-needed win at home. In order to do that, however, their defense will have to put a stop to Ravens' RB Willis McGahee. McGahee is no stranger to the Bills as he was once a teammate but is now proving to be a nice addition for the Ravens. Working in their favor for the Bills is the fact that the Ravens OL is a little worse for wear. I'm thinking this would be a good time for Buffalo's pass rush to show up and take advantage of the situation. One can only hope that even though the Bills' offense is ranked 32 there is a slim chance it can stand up to the Ravens' No. 4-ranked defense.
I almost feel like I'd have to result to doing something for entertainment during this game, like, ah, biting my nails until the last minutes. It's either going to be close, or the Ravens are going to blow out the Bills. Buffalo has a rookie quarterback - check out the Ravens history with that. Good luck, Trent.
